I just got a Hauppauge WinTV-quadHD and unlike my WinTV-HVR-1265 it only shows up one time. The WinTV-HVR-1265 shows as two tuners in the device list. The quad only shows up once. I ran a test and I was able to record three shows at once using the quad but when I tried to access a fourth it told me there were no tuners available.

Does anyone have the same issue?

I am running the latest Next on Windows 10

Can you go to the Settings->Devices screen, then zip and attach the npvr.log?

Here is the log file and a screen grab of the devices list

Update: I just tried to record more than one show again and the quad is only giving me one tuner

Are you sure you've got an WinTV quadHD? Have you installed the drivers for it? It's not even and single tuner of a quadHD shown there.

This screenshot and log looks like you have a dual tuner Hauppauge HVR-22xx, and single tuner HVR-1265.

The HVR1265 is the dual and the 22xx is the quad

So you have both Tuner cards installed on your computer? Which means you should see 6 Tuners under Devices List. Remove the HVR1265 and rescan for devices and see if it shows the four tuners. If it does, it means there is some sort of conflict with both cards installed.

That's not the case.

The HVR22xx device is a dual tuner device, where each tuner is capable of doing either ATSC or QAM or Analog (but only one of those at a time per tuner). This is the "WinTV-7164" device you see listed.

The HVR1265 is a single tuner device, which is capable of either ATSC or QAM or Analog (but only one at a time on the single tuner). This is the "885" device you see listed.

The WinTV quadHD is a different device, not listed on your machine, which shows up with a different name, and has four tuner, each capable of either ATSC or QAM (no Analog).

My 885 is a quad ... but maybe they do things differently over there ...

Just to complicate and confuse things, these "885" drivers are used for several devices, with different tuner configurations. In hootie318 case though, he'd already told us he had a HVR-1265, so has identified what his 885 is (and the logs tally this is likely a device like HVR-1265).

The "WinTV-7164" driver is only used with dual tuner devices.

Yes, I did get them mixed up. The HVR 2255 is the dual. I called tech support. We looked at the driver signature and it it turned out that the WinTV-QuadHD box had a WinTV-HVR-1265 in it. SO thw rong card in the right box. I ordered a replacement today. Thanks, for the help anyway. Hopefully I'll get the right thing this time.
