internal DVB-S2 Card with Dual/Quad Tuner Recommendation

Hi There

I have the Octopus PCIe bridge (http://www.digitaldevices.de/english/Oct...ridge.html).

This is a great concept - a single PCIe card to which you add tuner cards (DuoFlex cards). The additional cards don't take up any additional PCIe or PCI slots. Each additional card has 2x tuners and you can attach up to 4 which means that for a single PCIe slot, you can have 8x tuners. AND you can mix & match tuner types, I have a dual DVB-S2 at the moment and will be adding the DuoFlex C/T to give me two terrestrial tuners as well. I'll still have room for two more cards.

I've used this on Windows 8 with WMC and a bunch of XBMC backends including MediaPortal, ArgusTV and now NextPVR. While I haven't been using it in anger yet (still a testbed system) the card seems to work really well. So far, a really flexible, customisable solution.

Would be interested in anyone else using this setup with NPVR to advise if there are any known issues or gotchas.

I'm tuning UK Freesat and soon, (hopefully), Irish Digital Terrestrial.
