EPG kills recording service

i know this was mentioned a while ago and Sub was going to look at it, but has anything changed?

I have several DVB-T and one DVB-S cards. I've got it scheduled to run in the wee small hours but just occasionally one of the German channels slaps in a repeat of one of my season recordings that clashes with the OTA update and kills the recording service. I'm one version behind but figure I'll wait for the next update, now.

It shouldn't kill the recording service. Can you post the logs?

Sorry for the delay... I've been waiting for this to happen again when I could catch the logs. This was at around 8:20 on 04/04 which is in the Nrecord.log.2 file. The Windows app log just says 'The recording service stopped unexpectedly'

If you manually initiate an 'empty epg' followed by 'update epg', does the nextpvr.exe process die?

No, it keeps running. However, I had rebooted the machine a couple of hours ago because after restarting the recording service this morning a recording on the DVB-S card failed with a 'No error but failed to lock' message. Maybe coincidence but that was the card in use when it failed today. In the same log I can see it completed successfully yesterday, though.
