So, onto the next problem. I'm using LM gestion for blasting and it feels like it takes almost a minute for it to take control of the blaster after wake from hibernate. I haven't timed it myself, but if NPVR is responding after wake up and I go to the guide to watch something it doesn't blast. I wait a bit longer and it will blast which leads me to believe that it's taking a while for the blaster to initialize or something like that. So my question is: how soon after a scheduled wakeup does npvr start blasting channels? I think I need to delay a couple of minutes to ensure that everything is loaded up.

I'm in windows 7, 64 bit, I7, an SSD and something like 16 GB of ram.

Put delay in wakeup.bat.

I know sub added a 1:30 delay on wakeup for an EPG event which sub explained as "No. It was related to some users having problems with network connections immediately after their machine waking." That might be there for recordings too. I don't think I see this on WOL wakes.

Johnson, what would I be putting in the batch file? Would I be delaying the start of npvr? For me it's more about the waking up for a recording, so I would have to delay nrecord?

the recording service calls wakeup.bat and waits for it to complete before beginning any recordings. I'd use the Sleep command which is from the Windows 2003 Resource kit. Windows now has the Timeout command, so "timeout /t 10" would give you a 10 second delay.

From a WOL which takes 7-10seconds to connect with VNC desktop, to the blaster that worked was about 40 seconds.
Code:
2013-07-18 17:09:31.088    [DEBUG][8]    Recording service noted the system was resuming...
2013-07-18 17:09:31.098    [DEBUG][8]    Starting: C:\Users\Public\NPVR\Scripts\Wakeup.bat
....
2013-07-18 17:09:57.875    [DEBUG][8]    C:\Users\Public\NPVR\Scripts\Wakeup.bat has exited
.....
2013-07-18 17:10:03.039    [INFO][18]    Running blaster: C:\Program Files\Timmmoore\MCE 2005 STB Controller\channel.exe -f -a0 2 00400
