NPVR RecordingService installs successfully, but is unable to start after re-boot

Installed Physical Memory (RAM) 4.00 GB
Tuner card Hauppauge 2250 dual tuner

NPVR3.1.1 successfully installed to Program Files (X86)
Opened the program, then made sure the proper tuners registered under settings/device
Successfully ran a channel scan.
Subsequently, ran the NPVR 2.5.9 rollup patch
restarted windows the recording service is not running
Push "Restart Recording Service" from the icon and get:

Error message: Unable to start service.ServiceProcess.TimeoutException...

Repeated, after deleting all npvr registry entries, got same result.
Zipped log files attached. Probably something simple, but I haven't been able to figure it out. Hope someone can help.

You are not the first to install the wrong patch, you need the 3.1.1 rollup. Does some search point you at this old file?

I've gone through my attachments list and deleted all old patch rollups. Don't know how anyone would stumble across the old ones, but they're gone now.
