If a recurring recording's name ends in ellipsis (...), the recording fails. The directory for the recording is created without the ending ... and may cause the 'Invalid file passed to StartParallelProcessing()' error message in the attached nrecord log. If the ... is deleted manually from the recording name, everything works, as it shown by the second log.

I suspect it is a windows-logic of naming folders, because if I right-click on the desktop, select new, then folder, and type abc..., then a folder called abc is created, without the ... The same happens with a single dot at the end.

So, some workaround in NextPVR would be nice. My suggestion is automatic removal of the trailing dots from the programme title, when it is used as the recording name. Thanks

This was fixed quite awhile back for ordinary epg-based recurring recordings, I guess no one thought to test the advanced rules manual recurring recording type which can be created from the EPG using the All Episodes, All Channels setting. If sub puts in a fix for this for the next release, I'll test it during pre-release testing with a show I found in my EPG data called "World's Dumbest ..."

Yup, that's the show that always caused the issue for me and what I used to test the previous fix. And no, I didn't test All Episodes, All channels.

In the meantime, the name field should be able to be edited
