How do I re-add a Deleted Device and Set Up EPG (mc2xml)

In Settings : Devices I was trying to get back to a fresh install and I deleted one of the ATSC tuners.

How do I add it back?

I also am having trouble setting up mc2xml in the current version.

The numbered list doesn't seem to match the current version.

If you delete a device, then next time you go back to the Settings->Devices screen, then the device be redetected and added to the list again.

If you're trying to get back to a fresh empty database, you can just delete the npvr.db3 file, and a fresh one will be created next time you run the app.

the instructions in the mc2xml section of the wiki are only for analog channels. for digital channels follow this: http://www.nextpvr.com/nwiki/pmwiki.php?...TVEPG#toc2

I'm not sure how to get a tuner back once it's been deleted, though I know it's been discussed before.

I've got a similar issue.

I had 2 ATSC HDHomeRun tuners on device ID 1052C88E. The channels on one tuner got way off, so I deleted it to add it back the next time I loaded NextPVR.

But, that missing tuner isn't coming back.

What do I do?



I'd also really like to know how to clear out old HDHomeRun Tuners from HDHomeRun. Silicon Dust never replied.

QAM 1052C88E-1 is duplicated and there is no ATSC -1 tuner.

jp2code, it might be worth deleting all the sources that come with particular device to try cleaning it up. Some of them are kind of combined behind the scenes, so having part of there might be enough to stop it recreating the other part.

In reality you should probably never really delete sources from here. The only time I'd suggest doing it is when you want to remove the sources for a device that you no longer have (like it died and you replaced it with some other tuner).
