Hi all, I have been searching the forums, but couldn't find a few answers that I hope someone kind enough here will answer.

Using a Hauppauge 350 (just about to buy), is it possible to use this application to record (schedule) a program while at the sametime watch another already recorded program via the tvout?

Second, when using the tvout of the card, can you view the menus on a tv, using the remote , ie control the application.

Basically I want to use the system like a pvr/mediacenter. I bought the pinnacle 300i, which seems good, except it uses software encoding and decoding and it starts to sputter at times. So thinking a HW encoder/decoder should be much much better. But before spending another 100+ anyone answer the questions please.

Thanks

Yes you can. Thats what i used to do. However, I wanted to be able to watch Divx AVi's and watch DVD's. The PVR350 does not support those.

Yes it will do this. However you will never see windows. You may or not think that is a good thing  [Image: wink.gif]

Wow thanks for the quick reply. Although Divx would be nice, I figure I'll either use the 300i or record discs as MPEG to view (and get a bigger harddisc)
