Cannot create a recurring recording

I cannot add a new recurring recording by hand. I get no errors but nothing happens either.
I have a utility that auto adds recurring recording entries when series as pilot episodes come up in the epg_event db. You can see those entries in the recurring recordings table.

Have I messed something up or is there another problem?

You probably have a conflict on the episode you selected to record; even though you're asking for a recurring recording, it has to be able to record the specific episode you selected. When this happens it fails silently and does nothing. Quite maddening.

You are absolutely correct. I forgot if I tried a manual or a quick record, but one of those gave me the conflict message. I came here to post the resolution but you beat me. Throwing another tuner at the problem cleared it up.

I've given sub a small list of requests pertaining to the scheduling logic and related UI functionality, and I included this issue (both the oddity that it insists on being able to record the one specific episode, and the fact that it fails silently). We'll see if any improvement makes it into the next release.

A couple of things you might add to the list:

When editing a recurring recording...
1) I keep hitting cancel to cancel the edit and end up deleting the recurring recording. Maybe is should be 'delete' instead of 'cancel' or the button should be moved.
2) It appears that you can change all of the settings because the up/down arrows show up under the cursor but some of them work and others don't. It's a bit confusing.
ie. I would like to change 'record new episodes' to 'record all episodes'. The buttons show up but nothing happens when you click them. You can, however, change the recording directory.

Like you say on one menu it means different than the next
