Automatic install with several accounts

Hi,

On my computer I have several accounts set up. Everytime I install a new version of GBPVR, it reinstalls the software for every account I have (when I log into that account). I could live with that except for the fact that the install probram looks for the previous version installed. Is there any solution for this?

Not this specific thing, but from your description I can picture what is going on. There is a pile of other quirky things the MSI installer also does that piss people off.

Yes, the MSI installer is a pain. However, there are a couple of properties you can set when installing that may help in your situation. I haven't tried these for GB-PVR myself, but I've use them both for similar situations in the past.
If you install from the command line, you can use this command line:
MsiExec /i GBPVR09105.msi ALLUSERS=1 DISABLEADVTSHORTCUTS=1

Where GBPVR09105.msi is the msi of whatever version of GB-PVR you are installing of course. The ALLUSERS property may be irrelevant, since it looks like GB-PVR installs for all users by default anyway. Just to note - ALLUSERS=1 forces an install for all users, and requires that the user running the install have admin privileges. You can use ALLUSERS=2, and that will do a single user install if the current user does not have admin privs, and a all user install otherwise.

The DISABLEADVTSHORTCUTS setting causes the installer to create regular shortcuts that don't support automatic repair (the installer coming up when you click on the shortcut).
