decoder selection for 'videos'

Wondering if filter merit responsible for the codec selection when playing a file via 'videos'?

Just noticed I'm getting ffdshow (video) for .264 even though I have a different one selected in the .264 decoder menu option.

Yep, when you play a file from Videos that is not .ts, npvr just asks windows to play the file so it will be the merit in windows that decides what filter(s) to use. Filter Manager is a good merit editor (http://www.softella.com/dsfm/index.en.htm)

Right. Thanks! This also explains why you can play .265 videos although there's no decoder option for it in settings.
