I'm having a problem with programs I record using a HDHR Prime tuner. During playback, programs will just quit or occasionally say they've come to the end of the program when that isn't the case. The Mpeg2 Video decoder I've been using is the Microsoft DTV/DVD decoder. The ComSkip bar that appears in NPVR doesn't indicate there should be any break. When I restart the program I have to start from the beginning because there is no 'resume'. The rest of the program is there and occasionally there will be additional unexplained stops during that same program although there is usually just one. This never happens on programs I'm playing where ComSkip isn't used so I'm assuming it's the problem. I've tried using the LAV (donor) video decoder but it just stalls when it hits a ComSkip commercial skip although it will resume to the proper spot if the program is restarted. Erik at ComSkip says he's working on a major rewrite of ComSkip which may help but I thought I'd also check here. Any thoughts on what I can do to improve this little problem?

It's almost certainly just a case of comskip incorrectly identifying the advert times.

You'd probably need to post the npvr.log showing one these playback attempts where it gave unexpected results. Also post the edl file.

Not arguing with you and I'll try and post the requested files the next time it occurs, but I'm wondering why the Cyberlink Video/SP Decoder does not have this problem. I havent used it long enough to know if it's going to have the sudden stops but is takes the skips OK and it always has a 'resume' in the start menu.

No idea. The logs will help us understand though.

It wont show a resume button if it thinks you've played the file to the end. ie, if comskip has caused it to jump to the end of the file and stop, then it'll think it's played to the end.

A simple test would be to temporarly rename the .edl file to something else and see if the problem persist.
