Hauppauge style skipping in recordings

Sorry, I forgot that I posted to this thread. I have tried 5 - Skip on my remote and I always skip 30 seconds. I've tried other numbers, but never two numbers. Does it only work with two numbers, like 0 - 5 - Skip, would skip 5 minutes?

Nah, it works with "5", "skip".

You're probably pressing "5", "fast forward" which is not what you want. Fast forward looks like two triangles pointing to the right/left. Skip looks like a triangle pointing toward a vertical line. The keyboard equivalent of skip is CTRL + "right arrow key". Try that on the computer and see if it works. It probably will. Then you know you've got a remote mapping problem or something else.

To answer your question though, two numbers does work.

"1" "0" "skip", would go 10 minutes..
Not sure about "0" "5" "skip".

All right, I've tried all combinations that I can think of and it won't work. 5 - Skip, 5 - Fast Forward, 1 - 1 - Skip, 1 - 1 - Fast Forward, 0 - 5 - Skip, 0 - 5 - Fast Forward..... All result in either skipping 30 seconds forward or beginning to fast forward. Is this supposed to work on the Media MVP? Or just on a computer using the Hauppauge remote?

Just want to prod. I would really like this to work, but it just doesn't seem to work for me at all. Is this a feature that is only supported when playing on the computer, not the MVP? I continue to repeatedly try this on my MVP's, hoping that it might sometime work, but alas, no luck. Any ideas?

It also works on the MVP, but I'm not sure why its not working for you.

Does anyone have detail information on "resume"? My remote does not have resume on it........

There is no 'resume' button on any remote. If you have the 'prompt for resume' setting enabled, a window will popup to give you the option of resuming or restarting.
