Notifications on recording status

NPVR is a fantastic application. Works flawlessly in my setup. I use NPVR as a backend only with Plex and Plexbmc as the presentation portion with a raspberry pi. Since I don't access NPVR directly unless logging into the system, I find that if there is an issue with recording or something else going on, I don't know until some time has passed and this could result in missed recordings.

I also use Couch Potato and Sabnzbd to support my other viewing needs. These applications support Growl and such which can notify me when things complete or something else happens. And this works really well.

I have been searching the forums but have not been successful finding references to this type of options. Is there something like this supported with NPVR or other options that can be used? My preference would be to get a simple notification on my phone with status and the like of recordings.

Theoretically they could use post processing? Will that fire on failure as well as success?
