Having problems with playback of recorded stream of channel Talking Pictures TV.

WMP: no audio.
KMPlayer: "No combination of filters could be found to render the stream"

Converting the file with VidCoder messes up the audio, so I guess it's the audio decoders that are at fault. Talking Pictures TV is fine for live TV, but it's the only channel that causes problems with playback of recorded streams. No issues with any other channel. I've tried every combination of decoders, including LAV and ffdshow.

I have just made a recording and it plays back ok on my KODI client in X-NEWA. Media Info says its using AVC format Audio and video not MPEG. This will be because its on COM7 HD MUX which is DVB-T2. So you probably need a H264 video decoder and AAC audio decoder even though its a SD channel.

Unfortunately it didn't work. I downloaded/installed divh264 and ACC codecs, lined them up in Settings - no change.

Perhaps if you list all the decoders - renderers, video, audio - in NPVR Settings that you have, then I could replicate them. Maybe it's media players that are the problem, because playback in Oculus Rift is perfect. Yet through a TV via USB the video wouldn't even play.

As I said I use a Kodi client which has decoders built in and don't have a NextPVR client which needs the correct decoders. Most tuners have suitable decodes included with the supplied software which the NextPVR client can use. The decoder provided in later versions of Windows can be used for some decoders but in general most people prefer the Cyberlink decoders. It should use the same decoders you use to play HD recordings.
