Start, Pause and/or Stop recordings

Is there a way that I can start, pause and / or stop recordings without having GB-PVR open?

If not, this probably should be transferred to the wish list.

I am thinking of an icon that I can double click on the desktop that will start recording the current input into my capture device. And separate icons for pausing the current recording and a third icon to stop the recordings.

Even better would be the ability to right click the GB icon in the tray and be able to immediately start, pause or stop a recording.

Nope. No can do. There are probably other utilities out there to let you do this.

Any idea which utilities I should look at?

Is this something that a plug-in could be written to do?

It depends what sort of capture device you have. You could look at WinTVCap, but I know are are other programs out there that can recording from the command line which you could use to setup icons etc.

Its not something I'll be adding to GB-PVR.
