Guy/Colin thanks to both of you. I feel somewhere it is all to do with the networking. Anyhow last night I powered everything down and reconnected this morning and voila! all seems to be OK again and also back running with GBPVR.

I am sure that's not the end of it, but just for today I am not meddling! Well not for an hour or two;-)) Certainly I will keep away from running from an additional server which seemed to spark this episode. I dont really need to use it but I am afraid I do things sometimes becaase I can!!

Hopefully this thread will now rest but I will resurrect if necessary.

Cheers to all.

Alan

Well true to form I spoke too soon! After working for an hour, it resorted to Connecting to servers without success, after an hour I unplugged it again and sure enough back to the Splash (5 bar screen) with no success.

Anybody think this maybe a Hardware problem? 2 days running after being reset overnight it has worked the following morning. Seemingly it needs a long rest, it is NOT getting hot, but I am beginning to lose patience!

Any ideas?

Help me understand this! It is back working again BECAUSE I stoppedtrying to make the Hauppauge sw work and thought what the hell I'll just try the GBPVR and Voila first time! For how long who knows, but it is a different reaction!

Cheers, for those following.

Which version of the HP software are you using? Have you tried using a different one?

The dongle.bin that gets downloaded by GBPVR sounds like it's from a different version than the one with your HP software - that would explain why this scenario works.

I have been on 22146 since I had it, but in all the panic I tried 22020 which is latest. Cant figure out their versions they seem to go backwards! The CD that came with it is 2.3;-))

Still playin'!!!
