Auto delete episodes when keeping a limited number

No one is a bigger fan of SD then me, and I still say users who use alternate sources like zap2xml should pay sub extra for all the extra support question. In this case I suspect that there is something wrong in how "Live" shows are not being flagged as new in XMLTV imports from zap2xml and it is not actually a duplicate.

agreed, I simply meant that if he lets it record all episodes rather than new only, the duplicate detection will (or should) prevent repeats from being recorded. if the episodes in question were not being recorded due to it thinking they were duplicates, the logged messages would be different (as you know)

No I don't think NextPVR was doing anything wrong either , I was clarifying new shows can get overwritten by reruns.

I realize now I read what you wrote incorrectly... for some reason when I read "based on air date" my mind inserted "original" in front of "air date" thus changing the meaning of what you wrote. you of course wrote no such thing.
