Recording serviuce undefined (not created)

I had a brush with a very nasty virus, and had to rebuild. The short version... In the process of rebuilding, I somehow managed to have the firewall screwed up, and when I reinstalled NPVR, the definition of the recording service failed. So, now I cannot start/stop the service, because it hasn't been defined.

Does anyone know the syntax I use to redefine the service?

Sounds like you need to rerun the installer.

Yeah, I wuz going to, but I just re-scanned my channels, and patched NPVR, and set everything up (again). I wuz hoping to forego another reinstall and re-patch. Thanks anyway...

Reinstalling doesn't wipe out any channels or settings. It should reinstall your service for you though. If you're concerned about something going wrong and channels being lost, you can always backup the npvr.db3 and config.xml files.
