BeyondTV metadata

New user here. Just installed it tonight. Pretty simple to get up and running on both the server and client. So far, so good.

I'm coming from Snapstream BeyondTV. It's worked faithfully for 15 years (!), but has lost some reliability. Given they dropped support years ago, I'm finally giving up.

So my first question. I have thousands of shows recorded in BTV. I'd like to import them as proper shows, not just videos. They're all in AVI format, but with intact BTV metadata.

I've searched, but without success. Seems fairly simple to do, conceptually. Is there an existing utility?

I worte a utility a few years ago that reads extractedinfo.xml to create entries in the recordings table , https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.ph...post503933 Work on it never was tested but it should still work.

Note AVI files cannot be streams to NextPVR clients or sub's Kodi plugin but they should work in the Kodi x-newa addon from a share.

Here you go.

- create a folder under the NextPVR data directory called BTVImport
- place extractedinfo.xml in the folder
- extract the attached into the NextPVR program directory
- run it.

In the BTVImport folder you should have an update npvr.db3 folder. Stop the recording surface backup the original npvr.db3 file and copy the new one in

Good luck, if it doesn't work post me a link to your source file. Also the sample I had didn't have season or episode information if your does I might be able to use that.
