NPVR Service Seemingly Locks up at end of recording when recording on multiple tuners

All channels come in crystal clear if I watch in NPVR with no macroblocking. Signal appears to be strong. TV which is hooked up to same antenna had almost full signal on all channels.

I did the nrecord.exe RUN and get the same error, but no "crash". See attached log of the command prompt.

When you wrote NPVR did you mean WinTV? Same message in that log

[5] No errors, but no data delivered

Tuners in TV's usually are better then those in capture devices.

Also if Z drive is a share you might need to move to a non share for this test

I don't have WinTV on my PC. I have always just loaded the drivers for the tuners, but not WinTV. Never have needed it. I am referring to watching live TV channels in the NextPVR app working fine on all channels. If you want me to download and try WinTV, I can although I wouldn't think that would be different than tuning to the signal in NextPVR.

Z is a physical drive on my computer, but I tried recording directly to my C: drive and I got the same behavior. See command prompt log attached.

At this point, all recordings have finished completely, but my (N) icon is still lit red and unresponsive. If I try to stop or restart the recording service it fails and times out. Even IF there was a weak signal, why would the recording service lock up as it is doing after the recording whether it had a tuner issue or not.

I have reinstalled the Tuner drivers and my Firewall is disabled.

Can you post one of those console outputs again, and the matching set of NextPVR logs?

Does the nrecord.exe process end when you get this error?

The NRecord doesn't give any indication that it ends in the console log, but when the service is running it gets stuck and I cannot stop or restart it. The NTray is unresponsive as well.

I cleared out the old logs and did a dual manual recording for 10 minutes.

i have seen this lock up behaviour as well the tray logo was still red hours after a recording should have ended, and it was un responsive right to click to bring up the menu had no effect i did not save any logs though i will next time

Was there anything you did to fix it besides a restart? This happens every time I record more than one program at once.

think i have seen this happen twice. i did try to manually make it happen by recording on all tuners at the same time but it worked as it should. i have not seen it happen for a few days and i didn't do anything other than restart the computer

inyouindoh, I've been trying to reproduce it, but I'm not seen any problem here.

I have been able to. It appears to be do to a weak signal on one of my tuners. It appears that one of the two Hauppauge DualHD tuners has a weaker tuner than the other. I was able to see the signal strength for each tuner on a different PVR program and noticed one was not up to par even though they all had the same input. I cleaned up the signal on that one tuner with a signal amplifier and it seems to have made the signal strong enough to not get the weak signal error. Now that I don't get device failed to lock signal error, it records on all channels as it should and doesn't lock up. I would understand if it would not record the show on the tuner with the weak signal, but for it to cause it to lock up and basically kill NPVR till reboot seems like a bug. Hopefully my problem is solved and hopefully a fix is put in that will prevent the lock up in a future release.

I appreciate the help. Like I said, I tried other similar products but I just like yours better.
