watching current recording

Hi. Just moved to NextPVR recently after years of using WMC. Moved from Windows 7 to Windows 10, finding Next PVR great replacement. However when I play a recording as it's being made, it only plays for 10 min and then stops, if I play again from where it stopped it plays for another 10 mins and then stops and so on. Is it not possible to watch a full recording whilst it records or am I missing something in settings somewhere ? It does similar whether I'm playing on pc, or iOS apps on phone or apple tv . . .Thanks

This depends on the client. If the client streams via http you will have a problem with files that grow similar to what you describe, although it is not fixed at 10 minutes, it is based on how far in you start watching, the player typically doesn't see the file growing.

When you wrote "pc" that is not clear but I expect you meant Kodi PVR as the NextPVR client should not have this issue. If it is NextPVR you should follow the forum rules and upload your logs with the support post. If you do want to watch growing files in Kodi (potentially via a share on a remote machine) you can watch them in the Kodi Video section or using the x-newa plugin.

As Martin said above, you shouldn't have that issue when you're viewing in NextPVR. There is a known issue in Kodi, where it does behave like that.

Thanks for above, yep I had been watching the current recording on apple tv-plex directed to my recordings folder on PC, cut off after 10 mins, so yes I assume its as you say, plex hadn't a full file to play from when I started watching. A couple of times this was similar when watching it when went back using NextPVR on windows, however tried today and it seemed OK I think, I've purchased the NextPVR for apple tv to use that instead, however there is no option on that to change the audio track default, which I get as the narrator track. I tried changing it in windows on the PVR config file from default to [eng], but is still plays the narrator track instead of the AC3 track. Have attached my log, sorry hadn't seen where to do it before . .

I have both satellite and terrestrial tuners, when I look at the audio when playing each it is different, is that a cause ?
