Sub and Martin, many thanks for the continued follow-up. I can confirm it is Freeview EPG data my NextPVR installation accepts and it uses no other EPG source.

The SourceForge post from earlier in the year Martin linked to reads almost identical to the problem I encountered. I see both 0x13 and 0x19 mentioned in it (though that last one may be a mis-quote of 0x13 as decimal 19). The only real difference, being different software and connectivity options, is the workaround.

I've put a change in for the next build which should stop this happening in future.

Sub, great news. Many thanks for seeing this through. Until the next build is released I'm more than happy to use the workaround I used before if the data problem resurfaces before then. My main thought in reporting the problem, if it was within NextPVR processing, was to get a fix considered for inclusion within a future build.

Actually not a misquote. There is a problem with 0x19 too.

Martin, agreed. Being a misquote was always a suggestion on my behalf (and the coincidence that 0x13 is decimal 19). As I reported recently under https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.ph...ng-to-Fail I encountered the 0x19 as an invalid character in a program title from the OTA Freeview EPG some time later. And being in the program title this one seems not as easy to work around as an invalid character in the program description.

Yes sub was pointed at a database where the DVB EPG had the title with an 0x19 instead of a single quote and no fixes exist for this right now.
