I'm trying out NextPVR again but for some reason LiveTV playback is stopping after several (I'd go so far as saying 7) minutes.

It's a brand new build of Windows 10 Home (64bit) and fully updated. I've grabbed the latest NextPVR v5 release today (but was having issues with the last build - I've been working on this for a few days now).

I've attached the logs - each time the issue happens I'm seeing:

2019-08-25 09:08:25.734 [ERROR][39] Failed to open rolling file (C:\Users\Public\Videos\live-E4-6644-14.ts): System.Xml.XmlException: Root element is missing.
at System.Xml.XmlTextReaderImpl.Throw(Exception e)
at System.Xml.XmlTextReaderImpl.ParseDocumentContent()
at System.Xml.XmlTextReaderImpl.Read()
at System.Xml.XmlLoader.Load(XmlDocument doc, XmlReader reader, Boolean preserveWhitespace)
at System.Xml.XmlDocument.Load(XmlReader reader)
at System.Xml.XmlDocument.LoadXml(String xml)
at NShared.Utility.FileMapHelper.GetMappingDoc()
at NShared.Utility.RollingFile.Open(String filename)

I've looked through other posts such as:
https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.ph...TV-problem
https://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.ph...from-Kodi)

From the resolution on the last link, I've confirmed that the tuners are plugged into USB3 ports on the back of my Intel NUC (NUC5i5RYH).
I have the latest Hauppauge drivers from WinTV8.5 and I know that the DVB-T tuner and signal is good as it all works fine in the same hardware when I swap out the SSD for one running LibreElec and TVHeadend.
[I'm hoping to use NextPVR as my DVB-S tuner doesn't have working Linux drivers yet].

I've tested with the tuners (DVB-T & DVB-S) individually and for what it's worth, I also tested on my laptop and had exactly the same issue & errors.

Do you have any thoughts on what may be causing this as I'm running out of ideas?

Many Thanks!

What is the front end you're using? nextpvr.exe, Kodi, something else?

This one can be ignored. It's fairly normal to see this. I should probably remove this message so as not to scare people. It's basically starting the stream to disk, but when it first attempts to open the file, it didn't yet exist. It tries again and succeeds. (I double checked your logs to be sure, and yes it was happening at the beginning of a stream).

If you try playing a stream in vlc, using http://localhost:8866/live?channel=12 does it continue to play, or have this same issue after a few minutes? Actually, restart the software before the attempt (to reset the logs), then reproduce the issue, and post the logs, and time the issue happened, so I know exactly where to focus on in the logs. To keep the logs as simple as possible, don't change channels etc.

New logs attached as requested. I stopped the server before grabbing the logs so you'll find the required data in *log.1.

I normally use Kodi 18.3 running on an NVidia Shield (Android TV) but as suggested, I ran the test using VLC.
- The server was started.
- At 20:31 I started played the stream using VLC (http://192.168.0.5:8866/live?channel=1).
- At 20:38 playback froze briefly, then ended.
