IPTV woes: no failover when stream unavailable

It may be something I don't know about, so I'm asking: when I try to tune an IPTV channel and it fails (or is temporarily unavailable), I have to restart the server to be able to watch any stream again, be it from my tuners or other IPTV links. Is it normal?

No, you shouldn't have to restart the server if a stream is unavailable. If you want to post your logs showing the scenario, I'll take a look.
