I have a question to see if anyone has experienced this.

I have a 350 and 150 in the system. Everything seemed fine for a few days.

Then I downloaded the hauppauge tweak tool, and added settings (default) for the 150.

Now this is guessing given the different numbers involved, that when I recording on the 350 everthing is fine (saturation set at 34). When I record on the 150 its fine too (saturation at 80). But if after that I record on the 350 the 150 settings are used ? and the saturation kills the recording.
I tried testing this, and think this is so, but it seems a 1 shot test, since the system blue screens after a while. It might be contrast or saturation.

So anyone else see this? I have deleted the settings in the 150 registry to see if the problem happens again.

I am going to get murdered here, this is the 3rd week a particular show's recording has gone bad (each week different reason (including replays)) DOH!

Onestar,

What tweak tool are you referring too? I have a problem with my USB2 where the recordings are a little saturated on the red side.

I think the tweak tool thread can be found here:

Not sure if it supports the USB2 device, though.

How do you check that its at default level?

Yeah was wondering about heat, machine seems okay compared to one I have to leave the lid off, but its always a concern. Thats why I was hoping this set of events may have happened to someone else - and it was a software issue - not hardware
