I must be missing something then, I currently use tvheadend with libreelec and that works fine and already has the wakeup script setup in PVR > Power savings, so I'm assuming from what you've said that this should have just worked with the settings already in kodi.

I'll give it another go soon and investigate further, tbh I just assumed this wasn't supported after doing a quick search and finding this thread, but I'll try a bit harder to get it working now!

This thread is more about integrating rtcwake, I have some ideas for general support but my PC doesn't wake well so it isn't worth it.

As for LibreElec, with that extra info, I will check with the author of the tveheadend server addon, to see if there is anything additional the server has to do.

Just to report back, I gave nextpvr a longer test over the weekend and it does indeed wake from suspend in libreelec.

I have no idea why it didn't work previously but it seems fine since re-installing it, I'll be running nextpvr for the next week or so, so will report back if anything odd happens again.

Thanks for the update. I looked at the code and talked with a few developers on Slack and we couldn't see any reason for NextPVR to be different. Glad it is working for you.

At the same time testing this I did find a small issue with resuming from sleep in pvr.nextnpvr and I have a patch ready to go. Just waiting for the Kodi forum to come back to see if there were any other issues in 20.4.1

What's the latest on this situation does anyone know? Installed Next PVR on Linux Mint 21.3. My laptop will not wake up from suspend to record a scheduled recording. Is this still not supported on Linux today? Thanks

The feature that ShadowMask helped on has been implemented in LibreELEC and is available in LE 13. I am waiting for the update to 7.0.1 for LE 12

Sub and I recently discussed some scenarios to implement general power management solution in Linux too, but that too is waiting for after 7.0.1. It will require some configuration of scripts and is not as flexible as Windows which allows scheduling multiple events. I know I have two devices that will not work after sleeping so you might want to check you devices in the meantime.
