Modify quality settings of recording

With iptv you get the quality the server sends you.  Whether it says HD UHD or 4K may have nothing to do with the reality.

I understand, but that is not the case here.  I have SD, HD, and UHD channels that work correctly.

Computers are logical so send logs when you have a good example. I figure this recording rule on an SD channel is the one that is confusing you. Like I posted it is up to you not to do this.

Appreciate everyones help.  I am learning the ins/outs of NVPR for sure.

I have a working solution for the initial problem I was having, and have confirmed all is working great now (with HD channels only).

I think perhaps some of the confusion from all of this is because NVPR cuts off the channel name, with no tooltips, so it's impossible to see if it's SD or HD or UHD without memorizing the channel number.  You can't see it on the guide, or by clicking on the show (the pop-up doesn't say it).  I've created a group "Mike" with only the HD/UHD channels and confirm that is working, but I did that early on so I still don't understand where I went wrong to create an SD-only recording.

Anyway, once again thank you to everyone in the community for helping me out.  I am happy with NVPR but probably going to be forced to shelf everything for a rainy day until the Android client becomes usable for my family.  Until then, the thing is all of my current tvheadend clients/Android is "working" fine.  Family members don't know all my headaches on the server side of having to maintain the channels....

It's me that wants to dump tvheadend, my family doesn't know about my pain lol.  I really like NVPR ease of use and honestly its interface is refreshing (mostly) compared to TVH, so one day I do hope to be back!

I know nothing ... But ... I have read that you can cast from within Kodi ... And the NextPVR add-on is built into Kodi.
