Am a newbie so this could be a stupid thing to ask.

But is it possible to add the Clock & Date to the main page/menu
And alos get the "Recording Soon/Next" and still use the Standard skin?

I havent ben able to find out how this is done?
I upgrade the GB-PVR when ever a new version is launched!

So in order to keep All Functionality working I would prefeer to use the Default Skin.

One more thing, where is the txt stored for these features? I am using the DK laungage file and it would be nice to add the Danish txt to thease features :confused:

Cheers

I'm not so I can access my computer, but look in your skins folder, default blue. There should be a file called something like "main.xml" or so. In that file, the clock and next recording panels are already there, but commented out. It should be fairly straightforward to open it up in notepad and see what the other elements look like, and than make them appear on the screen. You can also play some with the coloring and transparency to make them look like you want =) If you're not sure what you are doing, make sure to make a backup of your xml file first so you can restore it if you mess up :-)
Good luck 0 =)

I tried this but i can't get it to work... I couldn't find main.xml, but i did find skin.xml in the Blue folder.... am i editing the right file?

I removed the < ! -- thing... but GBPVR wouldn't even start after i removed those comments.

What am i doing wrong? Thanks Smile

The skin.xml file that needs to be edited is the one in the 'main menu' folder in your skin directory; near the bottom of the file you will see specialelements, with panels commented out. Comment them back in and you should be okay.

Yes, probably. I was just guessing the name of the file since I don't have an installation here =) So it could very well be skin.xml.

It's hard to say what you're doing wrong.

One thing that comes to mind is that if you remove
<!--
then you need to remove the corresponding
-->
after the "specialelements" tag.

I could mail you my file if you pm me your email adress, if you don't get it to work.

Yah i did remove the beginning tag and the ending tag you mentioned but GBPVR still doesn't start up.

In C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\skin there are three folders, "Blue", "Flat Blue", and "Red Sky".

C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\skin\Blue\main menu

I am using the default skin so I went into the "Blue" folder and that's wherei edited the skin.xml.

Edit: I edited it again, not sure if this makes a difference but this time I removed the space between the plugin comment and the first SpecialElement so that everything was flush. I didn't think this would matter, but at least now it works. Thanks Stefan for the offer!

<!-- plugin panels -->
<SpecialElement name="Panel" panelName="Clock" visible="true" transparency="0.7" loc="1,1" size="220,70"/>
<SpecialElement name="Panel" panelName="NextRecording" visible="true" transparency="0.7" loc="225,1" size="490,70"/>
