Colossus2 Advanced Settings

I purchased a Hauppauge Colossus 2 capture card and I'm now testing it.
NextPVR V4 has an "Advanced Settings" screen, what do the Video Encoder settings control exactly?

Profile
Level
Latency

My initial tests using the default settings produce very, very large .ts files.
I'm looking for options to reduce the video quality / file sizes.

If your digital broadcast are already h264 the broadcast encoding could be smaller than the output from the STB.

This are all just DirectShow settings. Adjust them to your personal preference for each of your input resolutions. Lowering the resolution, profile, level and fps will lower quality and file size.

You might be able to have fixed output from your if you want to lower the quality.

That all being said bigger driver are cheap, sometimes it isn't worth sacrificing quality.
