Slow to displaying xmltv show Images or incorrect images.

I haven't got your logs yet. I need you to restart NextPVR (to reset the logs), then click like 4 or 5 shows in the TV Guide, then use the 'Log Files' button on the Settings screen to zip up a full set of logs. I'll then take a look.

When you click those shows, ideally click mainstream shows we'd expect to have decent art.

Ok so about 45m ago (when you showed me you were getting images from SD, and me knowing I wasn't) I send SD a message with a clip of my logs telling them I'm not receiving images. I haven't changed anything here and now 45m later I'm getting more "found match"(s) from SD in my logs.

Back to the XMLTV images / SD missing images. What are your thoughts on if SD, tmbd, tvmaze returns No Match found, checking with the XMLTV for image to fill in the missing images? This way you are getting the best art when user pays for SD and if not or missing, some art if XML contains it

All these posts and no logs just a snippet really sad. Are you running 5.2.5 the snippets looks like an older version? I might be confused because there are some other patches since 5.2.5 to address ongoing download issues.

This patch adds logic to fallback to the xmltv artwork url if artwork wasn't found with the other sources. You'll need to update to 5.2.5 before installing this patch though

Obviously this wont help for channels where you're using SD listings, since it wouldn't have the xmltv artwork url available to it, but in a correctly working setup with SD, it's gonna get good artwork for pretty much every show anyway (so fallback not needed)

I didn't read through the whole thread but after upgrade to 5.2.5 you should not only empty the art, it probably will be empty anyway, but also empty the EPG from the Settings to get proper SD link.

Yes Martin, after the update to 5.2.4 and the empty/update EPG I am now getting nearly all artwork again

I think that was the bulk of my problem. Like I stated earlier I had an issue like that last year with SD, which is when I change to zap2it for my XMLTV, and im sure something similar happened with 5.2.4.

I do see what you and Sub are saying about the art from SD being better proper show posters, where zap2it looks to use some episode screen for some shows, I didn't realize that until Sub pointed it out, I was under the assumption that they used the same art.  I primarily use IPTV for Live News and Sports... which is where Zap2It does better. Most of my TV shows and Moves are viewed from other sources.

Glad we go to the bottom of it. It looks like the new artwork is coming in at a decent speed in that video. (and any show you've previously view is pretty much instant)

I think at the end of the day it probably was worth me adding that logic to fall back to the xmltv artwork if it couldn't find the poster from the normal artwork sources. Some artwork is better than none.

The issue fixed in 5.2.5 was due to a change SD made recently, where they stop including size information with most of the artwork. ie, wasn't a bug in 5.2.4
