Hi all,

I discovered GBPVR 5 days ago, I was looking for an alternative to MythTV, which caused me trouble. My setup is running with a Hauppauge PVR 250 but an old nvidia video card.

GBPVR is nearly ALL i was looking for. It took my only few hours to set all correctly !

I only faced 2 minor problems with it :
First one, I can't use the mute button in my remote control. Irremote.ini is currently set to "MUTE=m", but i did not have been able to find the correct key in KeyboardReference
Anyone knows if it's possible or what is the correct key/code to send ?

Second one is my LCD, it's a MatrixOrbital but working with a serial (RS 232) interface. JaLCDS is not able to detect my LCD as it mainly working with parallel ones. LIS LCD plugin is able to send some data to my LCD but it's only crap and strange characters. I already write an PM to his author (currently assuming tybreizh29 user is) but i did not received any reply yet.
So anybody is using a 16*2 serial LCD with GBPVR ?

Anyway thanks for this wonderfull software !!

I dont use mute myself, so I didnt implement support for it in GB-PVR. You may be able add some command to irremote.ini to tell windows to mute, but I dont know what it would be.

Sorry, I dont know anything about LCDs.

just delete the mute line from the gbpvr section and then you will be able to use mute, you can also delete the volume+/- (if you have the 45 button remote) which will adjust the volume in real time (err, i had delays when gbpvr tried to adjust volume in the past, ie took a couple of seconds).
