Can we get an option to custom configure the file names for TV shows?

I would like an option to have the TV shows named like

Series Name (YEAR) - S01E01 - Episode Name.ts

Instead of the current system (Series Name.S01E01.Episode Name.ts) that inserts periods between the main sections.

Which year would you like? Recorded year, which is all many users get, doesn't makes a lot of sense. For matching in other apps, the air date (when available) year only makes sense in season 1.

The series creation year.  So when we have reboots like MacGyver, Magnum P.I. , etc it can differentiate between the original and the reboot.

Ideally we'd have a few set of variables to pick from when making up file names.

{series.name}
{episode.name}
{season.number}
{episode.number}
{series.year}
{original.air.date}
{recorded.date}
{recorded.started}

I'm not sure what else might be available in the TV listing database.

Then, to create a file template that shows this.
Series Name (YEAR) - S01E01 - Episode Name.ts

We'd have a naming template like this:
{series.name} ({series.year}) - S{season.number}E{episode.number} - {episode.name}

NextPVR doesn't have that information. Sub recently tried to get that information from Schedules Direct and couldn't get it.

Schedules Direct doesn't track or provide the series creation year, like it does with movies?

This is usually not something we'd know. In the US, most people use Schedules Direct. This service does not supply this information. We have talked to them about this in the past, but they do not have the information (or other information we requested like country of origin).

So for movies, is that just hard coded into the movie name?

The 'Original Air Date' for movies does supply us the year. We just don't have it for regular TV shows.
