Ffdshow with Mpegs

I use Ffdshow with my Divx movies, but I cant seem to get it working with Mpegs. I think the MVP is darkning the movies a little and would very much
let Ffdshow correct that.
Or is there another way to brighten the movies? and not on the TV.

divx movies are decoded in software on the PC, so ffdshow can be used in this case.

MPEG movies are decoded in hardware on the MVP, so ffdshow plays no role in this, and can perform no manipulation of the image.
