New episodes are not being detected by scheduler.

Some of my recurring recordings are not detecting new episode and scheduling recording of them. 

For example, this show is set to record only new episodes (from recurring-backup.xml)

As you can see the EPG entry does have an original airdate of 11/5. Is the scheduler using original airdate or some other flag to determine new episodes? Is this an EPG data problem?

You had another post today but it was to a spammer so when I deleted the spammer's first post your reply disappeared. Some of the new AI spams look like a real post and then they come back and add spam.

Here's the zipped log. I started the server, did an EPG update to make scheduler scan for new episodes, then shut the server down. Looking at the log myself, it does think the new episode at 11/5/2023 11:00:00 PM is a repeat.

It took a while because that show isn't available here. It looks like you need to make a post on the SchedulesDirect forum, it is not being marked as new, in fact nothing on that channel is. You probably would see that in the web guide (no new marking)

Even looking at zap2it.com it isn't marked new.

Thank you. I’m going to assume it is a temporary issue on the data provider end as the past three weeks were scheduled properly as new episodes. I’ll just set the recurring to weekly in that time slot.

I did find that show on the Adult Swim channel here and it is really messed up. There is a new show on at 11 but it is the SH record which doesn't include the S/E or subtitle and the description is generic. Then a few weeks from now older episodes from season 7 are marked new.

Too add to the confusion that show is in the missing hour that you won't see on the browser because of the time zone change. You will need to use a UI client.
