Memory usage

Hi, I've been playing around with GB-PVR for the last couple days and it's definitely more flexible and faster than MCE2005. The only thing is, is it supposed to use up around 120 megs of ram on startup? I mean, it isn't a big deal or anything, but it seems like such an efficient program and it feels kind of strange for it to be using up so much ram when it's not doing anything. Thanks.

It can be a bit of memory hog, but its usually less than 120. Mines usually more like 70MB on startup, and it increases a bit as I use the various plugins.

The main reason for this because each screen typically retains a cached copy of its screens, sometimes more than one. These are typically large graphical bitmaps which consume quite a bit of memory. I made the call early on that given the price of memory these days, I'm happy to make the software development simplier and use in the 50 - 150 MB range. I'm fine with it using this amount.
