I thought I'd try the SD 7 day trial. I've only tried once and it messed up a lot of stuff. Despite specifying UK, it download and imported a lot of channel/show data with German show titles and incorrect timings. I reverted to OTA EPG updates, emptied the EPG and manually updated - everything looked OK but several shows failed to record that night and the next day or two (this was earlier in the week and I haven't tried since).

Is it possible to see what npvr downloads BEFORE it imports so I can check it's valid? I had an email from SD this morning my trial finishes on Monday and I haven't really had a chance to see what it can do.

Cheers,
Brian

It sounds like the automap was wrong and you'd need to manual map. If you want to send me your database and your postal code and the UK channel lineup you used I can check what is going on.

There are some viewers for XMLTV from SD JSON but nothing to preview NextPVR.

Your recording history unique will be lost so you will get duplicates but I do have a utility that converts some to the SD unique id should you go forward.

Thanks Martin - I'm building up the courage to try again (this time I'll backup the DB first). I started by manually mapping the channels when I tried that one time but it was tedious and so I re-did it with automap. Oddly enough there were a few channels with the correct English titles and the correct timings so they must have mapped correctly.

I've got an hour gap now before next recording is due, I'll give it another try with manual mapping.

Cheers,
Brian

UPDATE: Okay, I manually mapped all of the channels we use regularly and left others as DVB/ATSC source and it's looking much better after emptying EPG and updating. There are some duplicates scheduled but I'll deal with those as and when they come up. It hadn't occurred to me it was the auto mapping and I just panicked and went back best I could. I like the look of the SD data so I'll probably sign up.

Cheers,
Brian
