GB PVR Newbie Wishlist

Thats for historical reasons. It'd been like this for about a year before the DVD player got OSD support. I'll probably change it one day, but I'll need to find a new button for the DVD menu button. Any suggestions?

my suggested dvd controls
channel + = next chapter
channel - = previous chapter
blue = onscreen display
go = menu (or menu = menu, but i would really like go (ive rearranged the go and home buttons)
yellow and green are fine for the subtitles and audio channels, i hope if you ever decided to add subtitles to gbpvr (i know you can do this via ffdshow but just a nice way to turn them on/off you use the same button, and the same button to switch audio tracks in video files (some video files have multiple languages in them and in the current release they just get mixed together)).

well, i think, in dvdplayback, the menu-button should take you to the dvd-menu. thats my opinion. the blue button then would show the osd, the back/exit-button would close the dvd-playback.

I know that seems logical, but I want avoid the menu button. I want to be consistent and everywhere else in the application the menu button takes you back to the GB-PVR menu.

Unfortunately 'Go' brings up the TV Guide. I actually like the ability to bring up the TV Guide while you're watching a DVD and schedule a recording. I'd rather no do away with this ability.

Any other thoughts?

yeah i to actually really love the guide in dvd playback, well any playback, but since the "guide" button does this (yeah i know, only on the 45 button remote) it hopefully could be replaced. i would prefer onscreen display to the tv guide, but thats just me.

what about the "func"-button, the one without label? is this button in use while dvd-playback? i use the 34-button remote....like a few others i think.

function button isnt on the 45 button but.

say how about (i think this is what dottore was meaning)
on 45 = go = dvdmenu
on 34 = func = dvdmenu
since both remotes have different configurations anyway (gbpvr would just have to remember which remote you are using).
