Sometimes I have to cancel a recording near the end of that recording and still I want to keep what is recorded so far. As I understand it today all of the recording is lost when cancelling.

Could there be an option to delete or keep "recorded so far"

I just tested a little more and it is actually so that if a recording has been ongoing for a while - it will be saved even though you stopp the recording.

so skip my request.

But if you restart recording the same show, it will overwrite the previous, and you lose everything. Sad
Being the absent minded dummy type, I have a bad habit of doing something completely different on the computer, that usually requires a major restart, right in the middle of recording something important. I fail to notice that I've screwed it up, until after the computer has restarted.
You can never have enough tuners!
