Hello guys and girls new member , just getting started with NextPVR have it installed and waiting on my tuner from hauppauge the 955q
Not sure if the wish has been covered. But

add/delete individual channels manually.
You can scan 'DTV Air', cable or 'Analog Air' individually,
and you can stop any one of them at any time, and it will keep the results thus far.

eg - there is no reason to waste your time scanning DTV 52 thru 69 since you will never find anything there.
For US/CA

That way if a new sub channel is introduced in your viewing area you don't have to scan all

You can delete an channel. It's not possible to manually add a digital channel, since there is other information required that the user does not typically know. ie, you need more than the channel number. It needs extra info collected at scan time like the SID, TSID, ONID etc, so doesn't really make sense for the user to manually add a channel.

A scan only ever adds channels - it doesn't delete existing channels, and the scan will clearly identify the existing channels, and any new ones it'd add, before you hit the 'OK' button to save... so doing a scan isn't something to be feared. Admittedly in the US/Canada, it means scanning each frequency, which can take a while. Outside that part of the world, we provide transmitter specific frequency lists for a large number of cities, which mean very quick scans that only take a few seconds.

With ATSC you can already choose to manually scan a single frequency. Also, if you find you're regularly wanting to scan certain channels, or channel ranges, it's quite easy to add a custom scan frequency list in C:\Users\Public\NPVR\Tuning\ATSC, and then it'll just show in the dropdown for the scan type.

I have asked for this, the ability to stop a scan without undoing the results so far. Sometimes you find what you need 3 channels into the scan, why wait for the entire scan? But clicking Cancel stops the scan and deletes the results.

BTW, I had sub add the "US ATSC 7-51" scan option because in many areas 2-6 and 52-69 are no longer used. VHF Lo (2-6) doesn't have good reception characteristics for Digital, and 52-69 are allocated for other uses now.
