Occasional programs I record present themsleves as only being 12 seconds long when viewed through GBPVR. The whole file exists on disk, and can be played OK via Windows Media Player. GBPVR will usually play them, but responds unpredicatble to skip and fast forward commands.

I can't see any pattern to which recordings suffer from this.

I'm running a Shuttle based PC, with a Hauppauge 350 card, all on XP Pro.

Thanks in advance

I sometimes also get this with the PVR-350 card. A remux in VideoRedo usually fix the file.

I too have had this, except with total filetime shown of 12secs when viewed over MVP; other symptoms remain the same e.g., unpredictable skipping FF/RW +/- xxmins in the file (but I can play normally, and ff/rw).

To be fair, it is very sporadic and I am unable to attribute it to anything with GB-PVR. The only possible causes I have found are:

When I schedule something to record at night, and the auto AV / Spyware / Defrag kicks in during the recording.

It seems to happen on some channels more than others; don't ask me why. I went through a period a couple of months ago where everything I recorded off the Independent Film Channel exhibited this problem. When I tried to demux/remux in PVAstrumento it reported corrupt audio headers (TMPGenc wouldn't even start).

It's gone away now. Weird.

Hope this helps.
