In Germany we have to programs at one channel. At 21:00 the one channel stops and the other begins.
So I set two programs to the same channel ID, but GB-PVR imports only one of them.
1. What can I do to import both programs?
2. Is there a option to set a time where the program is available (like Ki.Ka 00:00 to 21:00, Tele5 21:00 to 00:00).

Holger

I'm not sure I understand? If it is just two Broadcasters sharing the same channel number, the freq. etc will be the same. Surely after 21:00 it will STILL be the same channel, just a different broadcaster?

Alteantively, manually create a "fake channel" (set an unallocated channel number) and give it the frequency of the channel before 21:00?

Yes you are right, same channel different broadcaster :o

program 1 (KiKa) runs from 6:00 to 21:00 (channel 23)
program 2 (Tele5) runs from 21:00 to 6:00 (channel 23)

I think, I need no "fake channel" because I have to programs with different numbers (same channels) in EGP and the settings, but GB-PVR shows only KiKa, Tele5 is empty.

The problem is, at my EPG (external file form TV-Movie) I have program information’s for both programs around the clock.

So if I program Tele5 at 12:00, GB-PVR can only record KiKa (if the first problem with the empty list is solved).

So my hope ist, that I can load EPG for Tele5 but only from 21:00 to 6:00.

PS: But I will not delete the date by hand in the EPG.

Best regards from Germany,
Holger

In Sweden I have nearly the same - 2 broadcasters sending on the same frequency/channel - in different times and only EPG data for the time they send respectively.
But they only send on this seperate times - I understand your Tele5 actually sends 24hours - so you have 24 hours EPG for Tele5.

I have set it up so that in config - capture sources - Edit for capture source: I have created two channel names "Barnkanalen" and "kunskapskanalen" with the same source channel (3) - see enclosed image

And in config - Channels: I have given them different channel numbers (11 and 12) see enclosed image.

And as you can see in image 3 from the TVguide - I get EPG data on different rows- and that the EPG data breaks around 1800 when the broadcaster changes.

Is what I descirbe above what you want to do?
(plus not to show EPG for Tele5 between 6:00 to 21:00 - which I do not have to do)

Hi jasjol

thanks for your help, I use exactly the same configuration like you.
My problem was a option in the EGP to XML converter, the program has used a wrong channel list.

So I can now import all TV channels, but there is always the problem with the time from Tele5.
Now I have program information’s for Tele5 around the clock, but the broadcasting time is only from 21:00 to 06:00.

PS: The TV-Movie to XML converter has now time options.

Hi,
I think I understand the problem, and I myself have a derivative problem.
What you have (please correct me if I am wrong) is 2 sources for EPG, one for Tele5 and one for KiKa, and there is no proper way to merge them because:
Tele5's information is for the entire 24 hours, and includes a "filler" program from 21:00 to 06:00 called something likes "KiKa programs". And KiKa's programs are in another part of the XML file, and only contain programs from 21:00 to 06:00 without such "filler". So when you enter this, the EPG contains this one program none of KiKa's programs.
Am I right?

If yes - then I know the reason for this, and maybe there is a solution for you.
The reason is that GBPVR never removes a program after it inserted it into the EPG database. It sees the one long program 21:00-06:00 and that's it. Anything else is not going to change it.
The solution is to force GBPVR to import KiKa's programs first - maybe change the XMLTV grabber so it puts it first in the resulting file. GBPVR will import KiKa programs and then when it imports Tele5, the "filler" cannot override KiKa's programs.

I hope this helps.

or if possible - you get two different XML files - one normal without Tele5

and then another with only tele5 (and maybe using "The TV-Movie to XML converter has now time options.")

then you set up windows to once a day onlyupdatepg - with epg file number two. This would allow you to have the channels on different channel ids.

I am not sure that it is possible to choose which xmltv fil to use when onlyupdate.epg - but I think you can
