Hey Sub,

If you don't mind, just thought i start a new thread for this weird problem i am having. As per my previous posts, when i had 09211 installed, i had no issues with recording - with hibernation used.

However, after 09310 install (and i am not sure whether or not its to do with gbpvr), i find that i am missing recordings coz:
(1) recording service dies or shuts down for some strange reason
(2) zero-byte files

Sadly, i stuffed again with my loggin setting.. so my logs are again very brief Sad
I think the service died right after the last log.
.. and as per the logs below, it looks like there is an error due to 'expired lease' ?

what does 'expired lease' mean?

Every thirty seconds or so while watching tv, gbpvr.exe needs to renew its lease on the capture source. If the capture source is about to used for something else, the recording service denies that renewal (and live tv closes). If for some reason the lease is not renewed in the allowable time period then recording service stop the recording. The situation this tends to happen is when you've killed GBPVR.exe from task manager, or its crashed - in effect not telling the recording service it no longer needs that lease.

You cant tell anything from your logs. You need to have the logging level set to 'debug'

hey Sub Smile

yup - i didn't think the initial logs had much info either - and had gone ahead with more testing with the 'debug' setting used for logging.

I've sent the more details logs to the support account Smile
Hope they are more useful.

Another thing - I've checked my mux filter and i'm using version 5 of mpgmux!
aargh... i really am not too sure if this is new on my install or not Sad
if the logs don't help and you have an older version of the mpgmux, maybe you could send it to me to try out?

thanks again,
