is there any way to enable "live preview" on an MVP?

I have the "use live preview mode if possible" selected. It's right on the PC but on the MVP it is always in timeshift mode. Possibly machine specific, anybody find a way to force live preview?

also on the MVP whenever the OSD is up, the entire screen gets dark, not blank, just kind of like looking through a dark translucent transpanency.
This does not happen on the PC, any ideas?

No, this is not possible. The MVP is always in timeshift mode.

Check that you've got the 'fully transparent OSD' option is enabled in the config app.
