Problems Initializing Live TV - HCWIRBLAST.DLL

I'm new to GB PVR and have been setting it up to play with my Hauppauge Nova-t PCI (90002) Model 909 here in the UK. The


I have two separate problems at the moment

1. When I scan for channels using GB PVR I only get about 5 of the 30 available. The Hauppauge appliaction picked up all 30 and plays them fine.

2. When using the GB PVR I am unable to launch Live TV getting the error 'Unable to load DLL (hcwirblast.dll)'. This file is not on my computer, not on the hauppauge CD, although I have a number of other DLLs which seem to be part of the Hauppauge suite

I'd be grateful for any advice.

My PC:
Pentium 4
Hauppauge Nova-t PCI (90002) Model 909
Key Software:
Windows 2000 Service Pack 4
Hauppage WinTV (2000 and 32) + Remote
GB PVR

1. Have you tried to set the hauppauge card to antenna or cable tuning in the "Direct Recording Configuration"?

2. I had the same problem and fixed it by reinstalling the remote control application from hauppauge.

You've configured your capture source to use the "Hauppauge IR Blaster" channel changer. This isnt what you wanted to do. Set this channel changer option to 'None'.

The Hauppauge IR Blaster is only included with the PVR150, and is for controlling external set top cable/satellite boxes.
