I just began trying out comclean. The first movie I wanted to run against is "Their eyes were watching God". The movie is a 2.5 hr movie including the commercials.

I have watched the movie via GBPVR and skipped commercials from the .txt file that Show Analyzer produced when I ran it aginst the files.

No problems skipping and the detection was 100%.

When I run Comclean against this file I get the follwoing error when mpgtx tries to run:

range [2:20:51-2:30:54] results in invalid [6379365815-6834549531] range

Looking at the log file from the comclean.bat file the command line that is being executed for mpgtx is:

E:\TV\Their Eyes Where Watching God>"E:\TV\Their Eyes Where Watching God\mpgtx.exe" -j -f -o "E:\TV\Their Eyes Where Watching God\WatchingGod_clean.mpg" "E:\TV\Their Eyes Where Watching God\WatchingGod.mpg" [0:1:18-0:25:16] [0:30:10-0:48:23] [0:52:39-1:8:40] [1:13:42-1:24:41] [1:29:34-1:47:26] [1:52:53-2:5:6] [2:8:44-2:16:1] [2:20:51-2:30:54] [2:36:37-2:45:19] [2:50:29-2:58:25] [2:59:44-]

It appears some how the batch file is determining that the movie is 3 hours long when in reality it is only 2.5 hours long.

Attached is the comclean.err, comclean.log and the watchinggod.txt file from Show Analyzer.

Any ideas?

From what I've read, comclean is doing truely evil things to the timestamps in MPEG files. Dont use it if you expect these files to playback correctly on an MVP.

Found my probelm......

There is a line in the comclean.bat file that you need to modify if you are using NTSC recordings.....it is defaulted for PAL recordings.

Erik.....you should probably update the wiki with this little tid-bit of info.

Rem Adapt to your framerate times 100 (PAL=2500/NTSC=2997)
set framerate=2500
