So my system has developed a problem. Sometime in the past few weeks since I setup my system the controls in TV have stopped working. I use the ATI Remote wonder, I have it setup so that the computer simply thinks it’s a keyboard. I admit that my GB-PVR version is a little old, I believe its 93.10. For whatever reason the Number keys no longer work, but the keys Chan up and Chan down keys still work. Another key that stopped working is the Aspect ratio key while playing video library files.

One thing that’s interesting, if I am watching recorded shows I can still use the number keys to specify the number of minutes and then hit the FF key to skip ahead.

One thing that troubles me is that the controls do not work when I hook up a keyboard and try that. I will admit that I have NOT tried disconnecting the remote and then just trying the keyboard. So I guess it’s possible that the remote is causing problems, but I really don’t think that’s the case.

Anyone ever seen this problem before?

If you use a version of the Cyberlink video decoder that is VMR imcompatiable with the render set to VMR7/9, then it can swallow keystrokes. This the only situation I can think of that might apply to your problem.

Ok, I think I figured the problem out. I have my decoder as the Cyberlink one, and then I use overlay. When I switched it to WMR9 it let me change the aspect ratio, but the WMR9 does not work so well on my system. Is it not possible to change the aspect ratio when using overlay mode?

No, its not currently possible to change the aspect ratio with Overlay.

You can usually add a couple of registry settings to make the Cyberlink decoder compatible with VMR. Google for EnableVMR9.
