pre-padding not working?

i have pre-padding set to 3 minutes, but it usually seems to skip this even when there is no other recording before the scheduled one. e.g. something scheduled for 10:00, i see the tray icon red until a few seconds after 10:00:00...

I think it works for me. I know it has in the past. I have not explicitly checked in the latest releases, though. Just checked a show now, and it started recording with 3 minutes prepadding, just as I wanted it to. I run 94.13.

just to clarify, i have seen it work, but more often than not it doesn't. no pattern that i can see.

i think i figured it out. the padding setting is global but does not apply to any pending programs. (i can see why this is now, but perhaps it isn't intuitive to the naive user). my initial setting was 0 so the things scheduled before the change did not get padding, and the ones after did. but of course they are mingled so it was hard to see.

if i have this right, a note by the config setting might be helpful.

I think you are right. I noticed that the other way. I tried turning it off, and pending ones kept it.
