I am having a problem with these empty, unwanted, sometimes duplicate channels appearing in the TV Guide. I have tried emptying the EPG but it doesn't fix the problem. How can I get rid of them? (Channels "ISTATE" "PAXS" and "NEW")

I'm running 0.94.12. The problem has been happening for several versions now.

Go into your capture source settings and make sure you've disabled the channels you dont want to see.

Whenever I remove the duplicate channels they come back after an EPG update. I removed the originals, and those aren't coming back. However the new ones won't show up in the correct place as the originals, even after mapping the channels to the correct numbers. They show up at the end of the guide beyond channel 74, even though they are all less than 74. In the channels tab under the main config window, the old ghost channels are still showing up, even though i deleted them. Something's been corrupted in the channel database, is there any way to clean it out and start over besides the empty EPG option?

Also, after emptying and reloading the EPG, all of today is blank in the tv guide, until 8pm.

Instead of removing these channels I think you need to uncheck the 'enabled' checkbox. Alternatively if you're using zap2it you can probably log in to the zap2it website and remove these channels from your lineup.

I had some of the same problems after comcast moved some channels around. i kept playing with it trying to get it right but nothing worked until zap2it updated their epg data files. as i remember that took them a couple of weeks before all was well again.
