OK, I think I narrowed it down
I installed the software while logged in as administrator.
I can view LiveTV in timeshift mode when I'm admin
However, when I switch to any other user, even a user that is part of the administrator group like my domain admin account, when I try to watch LiveTV on the PC, GBPVR stays stuck in "starting timeshift mode", jumps up to 100%CPU and then does nothing, until I kill the task

I gathered clean logs in both cases, and I think the error is towards the end of the gbpvr-native log, where it says it can't find a "GBPVR parser" when I'm logged as any other user.

Suggestions? Ideas? Solutions?

you sure the path to your live tv buffer is viewable by your user account? why not go into your user account and set it as admin

You could try running the following commands, then try again.

regsvr32 /u "c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr\GBPVRParser.ax"
regsvr32 "c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr\GBPVRParser.ax"

Bingo, that works!
Anyway to make that registered for all users on a machine?

Running the two commands I mentioned above should register it for all users.

Oh ok. Haven't tried with a 3rd user yet, but I will.
But I meant to add that to the install process for a future release Smile

Yes, I was aware of the issue and there is already something like this in the next release.
